Pasta dinner with Wine! Easy Camp meals with camp-worthy wine Utah summers are hot, but they're the perfect excuse to get yourself out of the city. A common hobby for Salt Lake residents is to go camping with their families and friends. Whether you're headed to the Uintas, Moab, or Bear Lake, we all look forward to sitting around a campfire cooking hot dogs, smores, or whatever it might be. I find joy in creating a camping menu. One of my favorite, and most simple recipes for camping is Lemon Pasta with Brocolli. Simply cook your pasta in slightly salted water, cook according to the directions, drain, throw in some olive oil and lemon juice and add the broccoli! It's slightly healthy, easy clean up and you just can't go wrong. South Hill offers a wine that is aged in whiskey barrels. This gives drinking wine that real rough, smoky taste that you get when passing around the bottle of whiskey.

How to Pair Wine An Easy Guide to Follow My husband and I gained an interest in wine after working on a vineyard in Italy. The Italians love wine. They would open a bottle of sparkling wine at brunch with fresh prosciutto, they would pass around multiple bottles at of house wine at lunch over gnocchi with seared fish, and they would talk about the history of the wine we opened over dinner with risotto. The wine pairings happened naturally in Italy and that's what we appreciated. It wasn't a science to pairing your wine with a specific meal. The Italians also tended to make wines that are light, easily drinkable and pair well with almost any meal. Right now, my husband is studying to be a sommelier . We open bottles of wine nearly every other night just so that he can taste through the wine: identifying it's color profile and whether or not it smells like plums or dark cherries. He'll even serve me a bottle of wine like I'm in a fine-dining restaurant. ...

Choosing the best wine for your dish Homemade Pesto Gnocchi Recipe After college, I traveled to Italy with my boyfriend (now husband) and fell in love with the country....and gnocchi. I loved the history. Gnocchi in Italian basically means knot and describes the shape of gnocchi perfection. I was inspired to make homemade gnocchi myself, and now I can't go back to store bought! It sounds intimidating, and timely, but it's actually reasonably quick! Making homemade gnocchi is also a great date night dinner to make with your partner. It's a great excuse for opening a bottle of wine, creating ambient lighting and eating some seriously delicious gnocchi. One of the easiest gnocchi recipes that I have found is Ricotta Pesto Gnocchi (even if that means you have to use store bought because you ran out of time!). The reason this gnocchi is so simple is because it only requires a few ingredients. And, they're inexpensive ingredients. You'll simply mix all of the ingr...
